S&P 500 sets all-time high again

Peter Tuchman, industry influencer, reports that the S&P 500 has closed at another all-time high.

According to Tuchman, since the March 30 low, the S&P 500 has gained over $9.5 trillion in market capitalization, representing a 16.5% increase.

Tuchman previously reported the S&P 500 rose 0.44% after a volatile session, adding over $200 billion in market capitalization earlier this month. In a separate update, he noted that stock index futures—including Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq—opened lower while the VIX volatility index declined in recent trading. These updates highlight ongoing shifts in major U.S. equity benchmarks.
