Lance Lambert: Average 30-year fixed mortgage rate at 6.52 percent today
Lance Lambert reports that the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate today is 6.52 percent. This compares to 6.92 percent on the same day last year.
Additionally, Lambert highlights that the 10-year Treasury yield is currently 4.46 percent, with a spread of 206 basis points between the two rates.
Lambert previously reported that U.S. single-family home prices rose 0.69% between February and March 2026, with annual price growth slowing to 0.7 percent, the smallest gain in recent years here. He has also noted home price changes for Atlanta’s Southside ZIP Code since the 2022 peak here. These updates reflect ongoing coverage of U.S. housing and mortgage benchmarks.
