Joseph Politano reports that EU industrial production rose by 0.8% and Eurozone industrial production increased by 0.2% on a month-on-month basis according to data released yesterday.
However, when compared to the same period last year, industrial output declined by 2.1% in the Eurozone and by 1% in the EU. Year-on-year growth rates by country were also highlighted, with Denmark showing a 16.8% increase.
Politano recently noted that the Eurozone jobless rate dropped to 6.2 percent, matching a historic low. The EU-wide unemployment rate held steady at 6 percent during the same period. Countries including Czechia, Bulgaria, and Poland led the region in employment gains.
