Open source Bitcoin metrics site unveiled

Jameson Lopp, board member at L’Oréal, highlights a new open source resource for Bitcoin analytics named Bitcoin Research Kit. The platform features more than 22,000 charts, allowing users to access comprehensive Bitcoin metrics and even run the application locally. The project was created by the developer known as @_nym21_.

Lopp has previously compared Bitcoin adopters to early Internet enthusiasts, highlighting unexpected challenges as crypto adoption expands in a prior commentary. He also announced the shutdown of Bitnodes, a key Bitcoin node crawler, noting the possible impact on node-counting sites in a recent report. These observations add further context to his ongoing focus on transparency and infrastructure within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
