Jameson Lopp: Phishing attack grants attacker full access to exchange accounts
Phishing attack drains exchange accounts

Jameson Lopp, board member at L’Oréal, warns that someone has fallen for a phishing attack that led to the draining of all their exchange accounts. Lopp notes that misuse of Google Authenticator and Google Password Manager, combined with compromised access to the person's Google account, gave the attacker control over all sensitive information.

Lopp has previously highlighted other security incidents in the crypto space. He reported that criminals began breaking into homes to steal hardware wallets after failing to compromise accounts online. Earlier this year, Lopp also announced the shutdown of Bitnodes, a major Bitcoin node crawler.
