Loans rise to record high, Stephanie Link notes
Fed H.8 data signal record loan growth

Stephanie Link, managing director and portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors, highlights the continued importance of monitoring Fed H.8 data for indicators of economic growth.

According to her, overall loans reached a record after rising for the 15th week in 18. Commercial and industrial loans gained for the 7th week in 8, and total loans grew 7.7% year-over-year—its fastest pace in over three years.
