Snowflake shares approach decisive technical resistance
Snowflake stock tests resistance near $270

Snowflake stock continues to show relative strength, supported by sustained investor interest in the AI sector. However, further upside will likely require a strong fundamental catalyst.

News flow surrounding Snowflake has remained relatively quiet in recent days, with the company announcing no major deals or developments capable of driving the stock independently.

Against this backdrop, investors are likely to assess SNOW in the context of the broader software sector. Earnings reports from major technology companies will provide insight into whether corporate customers continue to maintain strong spending on cloud services and AI.

Another key catalyst will be the Federal Reserve's July 29 policy decision. A prolonged period of elevated interest rates could limit demand for highly valued growth companies, including Snowflake.

Snowflake faces a decisive test near $270

Snowflake stock failed to reach the $280–285 target zone and fell to an intraday low of $259.48. However, buyers quickly regained control and pushed the price back above the important $268.50 level.

At the same time, the RSI (14) remains near overbought territory, limiting the potential for further gains and increasing the probability of short-term consolidation or profit-taking.

To resume the bullish scenario, SNOW needs to establish a foothold above $270. If successful, the stock could retest its recent high at $284.99.

If buyers fail to defend the $268.50 level, selling pressure could intensify, with the next downside target near the $253.30 support area.

Snowflake uptrend depends on continued AI demand

Snowflake's medium-term price action continues to reflect the stock's relative strength. The rally has been supported by positive investor sentiment toward AI companies and resilient demand for technology stocks.

The continuation of Snowflake's uptrend will depend on sustained capital inflows into the technology sector. A slowdown in AI-related enthusiasm or broader profit-taking could limit further upside.
