Brian Armstrong: Coinbase introduces pre-IPO perps for SpaceX outside U.S.
Brian Armstrong, co-founder and chief executive officer at Coinbase, introduced pre-IPO perpetual contracts for exposure to private companies before they go public.
The contracts are available on Coinbase, with SpaceX as the first listing, but are currently limited to users outside the U.S. and aim to improve price discovery.
Armstrong has previously announced new features for Coinbase. Last month, he introduced direct deposit capabilities for paychecks on the platform. Coinbase also expanded its global reach with the launch of direct INR payment rails in India. Both updates aimed to increase user access and functionality.
