Charlie Bilello, chief market strategist at Creative Planning, highlights that U.S. stocks have outperformed international stocks on a rolling five-year basis for more than 15 years.
He notes this is the longest period of U.S. outperformance on record.
Bilello has tracked major benchmarks during a period of sustained gains. He recently noted that the S&P 500 ended the week with four consecutive all-time highs, bringing the year’s total to 22. He also reported that the Nasdaq Composite climbed above 27,000 for the first time, marking its third 1,000-point gain this year. These milestones come as U.S. stocks continue to outpace international markets.
