Christophe Barraud: UK consumer price inflation slows to 2.8 percent in May
UK May CPI rises less than expected

Christophe Barraud, chief economist / strategist at Market Securities, reports that UK consumer prices rose 2.8 percent year-on-year in May, slightly below the estimated 3.0 percent.

Core CPI for the same period increased 2.6 percent year-on-year, again coming in just under the expected 2.7 percent.

Barraud recently noted that Broadcom shares dropped after the company's AI chip outlook disappointed investors. He also reported that Anthropic has overtaken OpenAI in the race for U.S. IPO gains. These updates reflect Barraud’s ongoing focus on key developments across both equity and technology markets.
