Charlie Bilello, chief market strategist at Creative Planning, observes that Intel's valuation has climbed to over 11 times sales, marking its highest level since 2000. One year ago, the company was trading at less than 2 times sales.
Bilello has recently highlighted a streak of four consecutive all-time highs for the S&P 500, bringing the year's total to 22 so far, according to one of his market notes. He also observed the Nasdaq Composite's climb above 27,000 for the first time, marking its third 1,000-point gain of the year as detailed in a separate update. These milestones follow a strong run for major U.S. equity benchmarks.
