U.S. stocks outpace international for historic 15-year run, Charlie Bilello notes
U.S. stocks lead for 15 years

Charlie Bilello, chief market strategist at Creative Planning, LLC, observes that U.S. stocks have outperformed international stocks on a rolling five-year basis for more than 15 years.

According to Bilello, this stretch is the longest period of U.S. outperformance against international markets on record.

Bilello previously noted that emerging, value, and small/mid-cap stocks led performance over large U.S. equities in a 2026 year-to-date trend reversal. He has also reported on U.S. sports betting wagers rising from $6.6 billion in 2018 to $165 billion in 2025, highlighting rapid growth in that sector in a recent article. These data points reflect Bilello's coverage of trends shaping U.S. and international markets.
