Apple approaches earnings as resilient momentum keeps shares near record highs
Apple is trading close to record highs as investors position for one of the most important earnings reports of the current reporting season. Premarket sentiment has improved alongside broader equity futures after easing tensions between the U.S. and Iran pushed oil prices sharply lower and reduced inflation concerns.

At the same time, the Federal Reserve meeting later this week remains a major catalyst that could influence technology valuations through interest rate expectations.
Investors look beyond AI headlines toward execution
Unlike several large-cap technology peers that recently sold off following concerns over accelerating AI spending, Apple has continued to outperform as investors focus on earnings quality, Services growth and the strength of its ecosystem. The market will closely monitor management's commentary on Apple Intelligence, demand trends for the iPhone lineup, China sales and gross margins. Analysts also expect updates on the company's AI rollout and its ability to convert ecosystem expansion into sustainable revenue growth. Apple is scheduled to report fiscal third-quarter results on July 30.
Technical trend remains constructive despite short-term consolidation
The daily chart continues to reflect a strong bullish structure. Apple remains comfortably above its major moving averages after extending its breakout toward the $330 area. Although the stock is experiencing a modest pullback after testing fresh highs, buyers continue to defend higher support levels, suggesting that profit taking remains orderly rather than signaling a trend reversal. A sustained break above the recent highs would reinforce bullish momentum and could open the way toward the $340-350 area. Initial support is located around $320, followed by the $310-300 zone, where renewed buying interest may emerge.
Macro and geopolitical risks remain secondary for now
The recent decline in crude oil prices following the temporary pause in hostilities between the U.S. and Iran has eased concerns about inflation and consumer spending, providing an additional tailwind for growth stocks. However, geopolitical uncertainty has not disappeared, and any renewed escalation in the Middle East could quickly restore volatility across global equity markets. Even so, Apple's diversified business model, record cash generation and resilient Services segment continue to support a constructive long-term investment case despite near-term macroeconomic uncertainty.
As I noted in Apple outperforms broader market as investors seek quality amid volatility, a lack of bullish follow-through at current levels could trigger profit taking on long positions. However, any pullbacks may continue to attract buying interest.
