Vitalik Buterin: Ethereum researchers meet in Berlin to discuss long-term protocol plan
Ethereum researchers continue protocol discussions

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder at Ethereum, shared that Ethereum researchers gathered in Berlin two weeks ago to further develop the protocol's long-term trajectory.

This meeting followed earlier discussions with client teams in Svalbard in April. Buterin also referenced an updated strawmap of the protocol's evolution and posted an image of it in his announcement.

Buterin has previously cautioned that formal verification is needed before new blockchain options projects are deployed to mainnet. In his statement last month, he called for greater attention to security among developers. Details are available in his comments on formal verification requirements for new projects.
