Ability to exit to mainchain independently crucial for users, Samson Mow notes
Unilateral exit drives L2 user preference

Samson Mow, chief executive officer at JAN3, discusses a growing debate in the crypto community regarding Layer-2 solutions such as Liquid, Ark, and Spark.

Mow highlights that the preference for these technologies often comes down to 'unilateral exit'—the ability for users to withdraw to the mainchain on their own, even in cases where the operator may be acting maliciously or censoring transactions.

Mow has previously raised questions about the stability of USDC and CRCL, noting Coinbase's involvement in OUSD and backing USDC. In a separate commentary, he said STRC holders could earn a 51.6% return from yield and pull-to-par gains, with the potential for increased dividends to further boost returns, according to another post by Mow. These remarks follow his recent comments on Layer-2 preferences in the crypto space.
