BitGo deploys 2-of-3 key model for secure transactions, Mike Belshe notes
BitGo applies longstanding multisig model

Mike Belshe outlines that BitGo has been operating with a 2-of-3 multi-party computation (MPC) or multisig model for over 10 years. This approach gives a portion of the cryptographic key to an automated system, allows users to set transaction policies, and ensures approval under any defined policy.

According to Belshe, this security method predates artificial intelligence and is functional immediately after implementation.

Belshe has previously suggested that owning a whole Bitcoin may become notable due to its potential value and rarity, according to a recent commentary posted earlier this year. He has also reported that BitGo enabled the largest tokenization production of DTC-held assets, establishing a milestone in digital asset trading on the platform. These developments provide further context to BitGo’s longstanding role in crypto custody and infrastructure.
