Daniel Batten reports that four of Brazil's largest power generators are now evaluating or piloting Bitcoin mining as a way to monetize their wasted energy.
According to Batten, the list includes the country's largest electricity generator Axia, which is currently operating, Engie as the biggest private generator evaluating the move, and Casa dos Ventos as a major wind developer building out its capabilities.
Batten previously described coaching more than 40 Bitcoiners on policy, nation-state energy changes and capital raising over the past two years in an earlier report. He has also provided a summary aimed at social justice advocates, highlighting lesser-known aspects of Bitcoin. These recent developments add to Batten’s broader coverage of Bitcoin and energy collaboration.
