Bitcoin must survive internal threats to its principles, Michael Saylor warns
Bitcoin threatened by internal corruption

Michael Saylor warns that while Bitcoin has achieved significant success, its greatest threat now comes not from external adversaries but from internal corruption.

He argues that factions within the community who seek to reinterpret rules and limit economic freedoms pose a danger to Bitcoin's foundational values of freedom and lawful operation.

Saylor has previously discussed Bitcoin and digital credit at the Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Conference in London. He has also noted that Bitcoin’s security relies on strong consensus among participants. In a separate commentary, Saylor pointed out that protocol changes require overwhelming alignment within the community.
