E.J. Antoni reports that the U.S. trade deficit dropped by 5.6% month-over-month to $73.3 billion, alongside a slight slowdown in international trade. Exports decreased by 0.9% to $314.7 billion, while imports fell by 1.8% to $388.0 billion.

He adds that current trade levels are now essentially in line with those seen in 2024.

Earlier, E.J. Antoni reported that consumer sentiment rose sharply following declines in gas prices.
