Gold jumps by almost $200 following Fed decision, Willem Middelkoop notes
Fed shift lifts gold by $200

Willem Middelkoop, founder, investor, commodity fund manager at Commodity Discovery Fund, reports that gold broke out of its trading range and is now trading nearly $200 higher following the Federal Reserve's latest decision.

According to Middelkoop, investors believe the Fed is shifting toward a 3% inflation target rather than the previous 2% objective.

Earlier this year, Middelkoop reported that Tether’s gold reserves climbed to 4.7 million ounces in Q2/26, reaching $18.8 billion. He has also suggested that mining-related investments may be nearing a cyclical low. These observations have come as gold prices and sentiment in related sectors fluctuate.
