Arthur Hayes, co-founder and chief investment officer at Maelstrom, introduced Sergey Vidyuk as the company's CTO, describing him as one of the most talented engineers he has worked with.

According to Hayes, Vidyuk began his career in crypto at BitMEX.

Hayes recently highlighted his concerns about punitive actions against crypto wallet holders in Europe. He has also characterized the current surge in AI stocks as a financial bubble fueled by debt and unprofitable hyperscaler firms. His latest remarks come as Maelstrom brings on a new CTO from the crypto sector.
