Solana launches Alpenglow protocol upgrade on testnet for faster transactions, Scott Melker reports
Solana launches Alpenglow testnet upgrade

Scott Melker, owner and content creator, reports that Solana has implemented its largest-ever protocol upgrade, named Alpenglow, which is now live on testnet.

The upgrade targets transaction finality times of 150 milliseconds, aiming to significantly improve speed and efficiency on Solana's blockchain.

Melker has previously reported that Cardano became the public proof layer for Blockforce’s traceability platform, seeing 500,000 onchain records. In a separate update, he noted Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev’s call for tokenization to increase global access to financial assets. These reports highlight Melker’s focus on developments in blockchain efficiency and accessibility.
