POL community burns 100 million tokens and prepares to burn more, Sandeep Nailwal notes
POL burns 100 million tokens from revenue

Sandeep Nailwal, CEO at Polygon Foundation, highlighted that POL (previously MATIC) is considered one of the most undervalued and underrated projects in the crypto space.

He noted the POL community permanently burned 100 million POL tokens, representing roughly 1% of the token's supply, accumulated via chain revenue. An additional 25 million POL tokens are also ready to be burned, with further tokens being collected daily. In addition, Polymarket recently launched perpetual contracts on Polygon.

Polygon has attracted major brands and crypto platforms, reflecting its role in widespread corporate and fintech adoption, according to previous statements from Sandeep Nailwal. Nailwal recently confirmed the permanent burn of 100 million POL tokens, or about 1% of total supply, as documented in an earlier update on the token's supply reduction. These steps come as Polygon continues to develop its network and token economics.
