Crypto activity shifting to tradfi and derivatives

Andrei Grachev, co-founder and managing partner at DWF Labs, observes that the atmosphere in Seoul this year highlights a shift in activity from crypto to traditional finance and crypto derivatives.

He notes that although there remains much to do and build, the direction is changing, with initial coin offerings (ICOs) no longer a surprise omission given broader changes in the market.

Earlier this year, Grachev commented on the crypto sector’s reliance on promotional activity over fair value, citing frequent rapid shifts in market narratives in previous remarks. He also attended Kyrgyzstan’s National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies, as noted in coverage of the session. Both events reflect his ongoing engagement with industry developments and policy discussions.
