BTC exits exchanges lowers available supply

Alan Rogers reports that more than 40000 BTC has been withdrawn from exchanges since September 22.

He suggests that some of this supply may be moving into long-term custody, reducing the amount of BTC readily available on centralized exchanges.

Earlier, Rogers reported that 66.6 percent of Bitcoin is held by individuals as supply tightened and institutional accumulation increased, according to a prior article. He has also noted that August was the strongest month for Ethereum ETFs since August 2025, with rising institutional demand for ETH detailed in his previous coverage. The recent movement of BTC into long-term custody aligns with these earlier trends of reduced exchange supply and heightened interest from both retail and institutional holders.
