Changpeng Zhao: Four data leaks reported including Coinbase vendor and Bithumb

Four separate data leaks were reported today involving both crypto and traditional finance firms. Coinbase's vendor Amplitude exposed some users’ contact data, although funds were reported as unaffected. South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb also experienced user data leaks, while two securities firms in Korea, Mirae Asset and Daishin Securities, reported similar issues.

Changpeng Zhao stated that despite such incidents, preventing all data leaks may not be possible.

Changpeng Zhao previously warned that unethical behavior at crypto exchanges could harm public trust. He also urged caution after reports of a suspected supply chain attack on Ledger hardware wallets. Recent events add to concerns over the security of both user data and digital assets.
