Michael Geike, a mathematician with experience on the JPMorgan trading floor pricing exotic derivatives and analyzing fraud patterns at Zalando, described his transition into the crypto space. He stated that in 2012, a friend prompted him to look at Bitcoin, leading to his involvement in crypto from 2013—starting with mining and participating in the Ethereum crowdsale in 2014.

Geike is co-founder and CEO of Advanced Blockchain AG. This background was shared in an introductory statement.
