Matt Huang: Privacy will become essential for stablecoin use in real-world cases
Privacy to be key for stablecoin use

Matt Huang, Matt Huang, co-founder and managing partner at Paradigm, argued that privacy is set to become a critical requirement for stablecoin use in real-world applications. He described much of crypto as relying too heavily on pseudonymity rather than true privacy, particularly in an era where advancements in artificial intelligence make it easier to track and correlate on-chain transactions.

Earlier this year, Huang highlighted the launch of Open USD (OUSD), a stablecoin backed by major firms and debuting with $400 million in liquidity, in previous comments. In a separate analysis, he identified privacy as a key hurdle for crypto serving real-world payment flows, as detailed in an earlier article. Both observations build on his ongoing focus on privacy and practical deployment of stablecoins.
