Fed Beige Book signals acceleration in inflation trends compared to last month, Craig Shapiro notes
Fed Beige Book highlights inflation shift

Federal Reserve Beige Book commentary on inflation indicates a shift this month toward acceleration, reversing last month’s trend of stabilizing or slowing price momentum across U.S. districts. Craig Shapiro highlighted that in the previous report, three districts saw decelerating inflation while only one reported acceleration, but this month’s commentary reflects a different direction.

Shapiro has recently tracked notable activity in other asset classes. He highlighted Brent crude rising to $105 on Pentagon strike plans and added risks from AI credit issues and bond market developments in a previous report. In another update, Shapiro reported HYG and JNK moving from the bottom to the top quartile among ETFs as metals prices climbed and PFIX gained intraday momentum in his coverage of ETF flows.
