Vitalik Buterin: Security should be top focus for zkEVMs after speed milestone
Buterin says security is priority for zkEVMs

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, congratulated the zksync airbender team for reaching a milestone and stated that the competition for speed in zkEVMs is now settled. In his view, the top priority for these systems should fully shift to security, specifically through formal verification of their equivalence.

Buterin has previously highlighted the launch of a new decentralized prediction market project on Ethereum with an emphasis on ethics. He has also pointed to recent improvements making Ethereum node syncing possible in less than half a day. His updates continue to focus on network advances and emerging applications.
