WTI refining margins fall sharply to $55 a barrel, Javier Blas notes
WTI refining spread hits three-month low

WTI simple refining margins, measured by the 3-2-1 WTI crack spread, declined sharply and reached about $55 a barrel this morning, their lowest level in three and a half months. The margin was roughly $75 in early September.

Javier Blas, energy and commodities columnist at Bloomberg, reported the change, highlighting the margin shift as WTI rallied last week versus gasoline and diesel.

Blas has covered recent shifts in the physical oil market, reporting that global crude oil shipments are nearing record highs as Iranian barrels remain absent. He previously reported that Gunvor will rebrand as Centalion and relocate its headquarters from Cyprus to Singapore. The columnist continues to track both market trends and corporate movements within the energy sector.
