Tech stocks see outflows led by semis

Last week, stocks experienced a sell-off, with the technology sector emerging as the main source of outflows, particularly among semiconductor and hardware companies.

Ivana Delevska, founder and CIO of SPEAR Invest, commented on the situation, noting that after such a move, she reviews what has changed in the earnings outlook. Delevska also highlighted that two important suppliers to the AI buildout provided updates during the same week.

Earlier this year, Ivana Delevska noted that CXMT is set to launch DDR5 by year end, a move she said is not favorable for the DRAM sector (full story). She also reported that MRVL raised its fiscal 2028 revenue target to $20 billion, projecting a $400 billion market opportunity by 2030 driven by memory and photonic technologies (full details). Both updates came as investors are closely tracking developments among key hardware and semiconductor suppliers.
