Bitget acquisition secures Thai license

Bitget has acquired a Bangkok-based licensed digital asset exchange and brokerage, strengthening its regulatory presence in Southeast Asia.

Gracy Chen, who serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Bitget, described Thailand as one of the region’s most dynamic markets and said the move secures the company a licensed local foundation for its operations.

Bitget recently introduced JIOUSDT pre-IPO perpetuals, offering trading tied to Jio Platforms’ anticipated IPO launch, as detailed in a prior article. Gracy Chen has also discussed her efforts in Singapore to bridge crypto and traditional finance networks, drawing on connections with the NUS community, according to earlier coverage. The company’s latest move in Thailand marks a continuation of its regional regulatory expansion.
