Founders must meet 100 VCs to secure deals, Harry Stebbings notes
Fundraising returns to a numbers game

Harry Stebbings said fundraising now involves meeting as many venture capitalists as possible, likening it to earlier periods when founders had to approach about 100 VCs. He observed that it is possible to secure a deal at a reasonable, though still elevated, valuation because it may be the best offer a VC sees in a given quarter.

Stebbings has previously commented on rapid growth stories and notable personnel moves in the sector. He reported that Higgsfield reached $1 billion in annual recurring revenue within 18 months with $4 million in monthly model spending. In another piece, Stebbings recalled Miles Grimshaw joining Benchmark in September 2023 after just one deal with LangChain.
