Tax cuts boost output and employment, Vincent Geloso argues
Tax cuts linked to output revival

Vincent Geloso argued that using a linear trend to analyze economic performance is incorrect and noted that output and employment were declining until the introduction of tax cuts and reversals of IEPPA tariffs, after which they revived. Geloso added that tax cuts contributed to improvements in output and employment, framing this as a critical point in response to Mr. Cass.

Geloso has previously scrutinized technical inconsistencies in U.S. economic analysis. In earlier research with Phil Magness and Micha Sparks, he identified that differences in U.S. inequality measures can result from the choice of income denominators. The study pointed to methodological issues affecting the interpretation of economic data.
