Mark Minervini: Early career doubts contrasted with making over $100 million using computers
Minervini contrasts early doubts and success

In a personal statement, Mark Minervini reflected on being told by a math teacher in the early 1980s that he would not amount to anything for wanting to use a calculator, which at the time was a relatively new and expensive tool.

Minervini stated that he later went on to make more than $100 million using computers.

Minervini has previously observed that many technology and S&P 500 stocks experienced major declines that were not reflected by index snapshots, according to an earlier report. He also disclosed that he is short on SPY and DIA and may increase these positions, while maintaining long exposures to TEVA and IBB, as detailed in a separate disclosure. These positions follow his continued commentary on U.S. equities.
