Stuart Alderoty: Nonprofits have strong public trust and can help explain crypto
Nonprofits use trust to explain crypto

Stuart Alderoty, Chief Legal Officer at Ripple, highlighted the important role of nonprofits in maintaining public trust and using it to communicate about cryptocurrencies clearly and without hype.

Alderoty said that at NCA, this trust is used to help everyday Americans make informed decisions about whether to participate in crypto and to do so with confidence.

Alderoty has previously called for clear rules to protect U.S. consumers holding stablecoins, urging the Treasury to include provisions for those who lose or self-custody digital assets in proposed regulations (full article). Ripple’s legal chief also credited strong regulatory compliance for the firm receiving final OCC approval to launch Ripple National Trust Bank (details here). These efforts reflect his focus on regulatory standards and public confidence in digital assets.
