Rolls-Royce shares retain upside as key support holds
Rolls-Royce retains a strong fundamental backdrop after raising its full-year guidance, although momentum has slowed following the recent move to record highs. Holding GBX 1,510 keeps further upside in focus, while a loss of this level would increase the risk of a deeper correction.
The focus remains on the company’s first-half results. On July 30, Rolls-Royce raised its 2026 guidance and now expects underlying operating profit of £4.7–4.9 billion and free cash flow of £3.8–4.0 billion. The company also highlighted strong performance in Civil Aerospace and Defence, as well as demand for power solutions for data centers.
As a result, with the near-term news flow relatively quiet, the fundamental picture has changed little, leaving short-term share price performance increasingly dependent on whether the market can sustain momentum after the strong gains of recent months.

Holding GBX 1,510 keeps upside scenario intact
The GBX 1,510 level, previously identified as key support, has held. However, to confirm the resilience of the current structure, the shares need to remain above this level for at least one more trading session. In that case, the probability of further upside toward our GBX 1,600–1,650 target zone would increase.
A break and sustained move below GBX 1,510, by contrast, would increase selling pressure and significantly raise the risk of a deeper correction toward GBX 1,450.
