Amazon stabilizes after six-session slide as $269.65 comes into focus
Amazon shows the first signs of stabilization after six down sessions.

After six consecutive sessions of declines, Amazon showed its first sign of stabilization, closing August 19 with a green candle on elevated volume. Attention now shifts to resistance at $269.65.

One of the main developments was a major expansion of Prime Air. Amazon plans to extend drone delivery to nearly 500 U.S. cities and communities by the end of 2026, increasing its coverage more than sixfold. Deliveries of eligible items weighing up to 5 pounds could take around 30 minutes.

At the same time, Amazon confirmed a new multi-billion-dollar robotics manufacturing facility in Austin. The site will produce robotic systems for the company’s logistics network and is expected to create around 300–500 manufacturing and engineering jobs.

Holding $262 keeps Amazon recovery scenario intact

After six consecutive losing sessions, AMZN stock closed August 19 with a green candle on relatively high volume. For today’s session, the base case is a continuation of the recovery.

The nearest price target is $269.65. An unfilled gap from May 29, 2026, is located around this level, making the area a potential first major obstacle for buyers.

Key intermediate support remains at $262. As long as the stock holds above this level, the scenario of a move toward $269.65 remains intact.

A break and sustained move below $262 would invalidate the current scenario.

Positive volume supports Amazon’s rebound attempt

After a six-session losing streak, a green candle on elevated volume marks the first attempt by buyers to regain control. The news flow also remains moderately supportive, with Amazon continuing to scale Prime Air and expand its robotics infrastructure.

For the short-term outlook, however, price action remains the main factor. Holding above $262 would keep the recovery toward $269.65 in play.
