Snowflake correction deepens as agentic AI strategy moves into focus
Holding below $318.50 keeps downside risk elevated.

Snowflake remains under pressure after the bearish scenario played out and the stock returned to the $317 area. Against this backdrop, the company’s AI strategy and its September 2 earnings report are becoming the main fundamental drivers.

Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy said that enterprise AI will depend less on model benchmarks and more on the quality, governance and business context of corporate data. He argued that even the strongest models cannot work effectively with poorly structured data, especially when AI agents access sensitive systems.

Snowflake is betting on agentic AI to automate integrations, migrations and routine analytics. Internally, its agents already combine data from Salesforce, Workday and Snowflake, while tools such as CoCo can automate analysis at scale. Management is also stressing cost discipline, saying AI products must deliver measurable economic value rather than simply drive consumption.

The next test comes with Snowflake’s September 2 earnings report. Consensus expects about $1.48 billion in revenue and EPS of $0.45. After beating revenue expectations in each of the past four quarters, expectations remain high, increasing the risk of a sharp reaction if guidance disappoints.

Holding below $318.50 keeps sellers in control

The bearish scenario from the previous analysis fully played out. SNOW fell into the outlined $315–318 zone before extending the decline to $308.62.

Toward the end of the session, however, buyers managed to push the stock back to $317.02, partially recovering the intraday losses.

For today’s trading session, the base case remains a further decline toward psychological support at $300.

A sustained move above $318.50 would invalidate this scenario.

Sector volatility could override technical signals

Nvidia’s earnings report after the U.S. market close adds another risk factor for Snowflake today. Although the companies operate in different segments, NVDA remains one of the main gauges of sentiment around the AI trade, meaning a strong post-earnings reaction could quickly spread across the technology sector.

For SNOW, this means even technically important levels could temporarily become less reliable if risk appetite shifts sharply. Volatility may remain elevated ahead of Snowflake’s own September 2 report, making strict risk management particularly important over the coming sessions.
