Tesla drops 2% after Cybercab launch as $368 support comes into focus
Tesla completed the previous bullish scenario after reaching $384, but the stock has pulled back toward $369 in premarket trading. Attention has now shifted to investors’ reaction to the Cybercab launch.
Tesla has officially started offering Cybercab rides in Austin through its Robotaxi app. The two-seat vehicle operates without a steering wheel or pedals, while Tesla confirmed that Cybercab rides are currently available only in limited areas of Austin. The launch marks an important step from technology demonstration toward real-world commercial use.
However, investors appear to be reacting with a typical “sell the news” response, with TSLA falling more than 2% in premarket trading.

Tesla pullback brings $368 back into focus
Tesla stock fully played out the medium-term setup outlined earlier. The price closed the post-earnings gap, reached the $373 target and climbed as high as $384.04 during the September 3 session.
Buyers, however, failed to clear resistance at $384, while the stock fell back toward $369 in September 4 premarket trading. The former resistance level at $368 therefore becomes key support.
A sustained move below $368 would materially increase the probability of a correction toward the 50-day SMA near $358.
If buyers defend $368 and the price stabilizes above it, the base case would be another test of $384. A subsequent breakout above this level would open the way for a continuation of the medium-term uptrend.
Robotaxi progress now needs stronger market confirmation
The Cybercab launch is an important fundamental milestone for Tesla, but the initial scale of the service remains limited. The market is therefore likely to focus increasingly on the actual pace of Robotaxi expansion rather than new statements about the future of the autonomy business.
Today’s U.S. jobs report could add another source of volatility. Strong employment data could quickly shift Fed rate expectations and renew pressure on highly valued growth stocks.
