Rolls-Royce reaches GBX 1,500 as Power Systems expansion accelerates
Rolls-Royce shares fully played out the previous recovery setup, rising toward GBX 1,500. Attention now shifts to resistance at GBX 1,510.
Rolls-Royce officially opened a new Logistics Operations Center in Mankato, Minnesota, following a $24 million investment. The 250,000-square-foot facility will allow the company to more than double production of mtu Series 4000 generator sets for data centers, hospitals, airports and other critical infrastructure across North and South America. The expansion will also create more than 100 jobs.
Rolls-Royce backup power systems are already used in more than 25% of U.S. data centers. The Mankato expansion is designed to help meet rising demand for backup generation as AI infrastructure continues to expand.

GBX 1,510 becomes the next key test
The setup outlined in the previous analysis fully played out. RR shares established themselves above the 50-day SMA near GBX 1,470 and continued their recovery toward the previously identified GBX 1,500 target.
For today’s session, GBX 1,510 becomes the key resistance level. A decisive break and sustained move above this mark could accelerate the advance toward the next target around GBX 1,530.
The probability of short-term profit-taking, however, is gradually increasing. If buyers fail to establish RR above GBX 1,510, the more likely outcome would be a pullback toward the 50-day SMA near GBX 1,470.
Strong fundamentals support the trend but momentum needs confirmation
Growing demand for backup power at data centers adds another long-term growth driver alongside Rolls-Royce’s already strong Civil Aerospace and Defence businesses. The expansion of U.S. production also shows that Power Systems is becoming an increasingly important beneficiary of the infrastructure and AI boom.
After four consecutive sessions of gains, however, short-term momentum is becoming more stretched. The reaction around GBX 1,510 will therefore be particularly important: a breakout would keep GBX 1,530 in focus, while another rejection at resistance would increase the probability of a pullback toward the 50-day SMA.
