Can AMD break its all-time high and extend the rally to $600?
A break above $584.73 could open the way toward $600

AMD has reached a point where familiar resistance levels are starting to disappear. The next test is whether the current momentum can carry the stock into fresh record territory.

The fundamental backdrop remains closely tied to the broader semiconductor rally and resilient expectations for AI infrastructure spending.

Investor’s Business Daily has highlighted AMD among the technology stocks approaching new breakout points. The shares gained roughly 8.5% last week, recovering sharply after the selloff earlier in the period.

Persistent demand for AI chips and server infrastructure provides additional support. AMD’s latest EPYC update highlights the growing role of its processors in agentic AI workloads, ranging from retrieval and code execution to inference and enterprise AI systems.

$584.73 is the final barrier before $600

The base-case scenario from the previous analysis played out in full. AMD broke through $527 resistance, reached the $550 target and continued higher.

In premarket trading on September 21, the shares have already moved close to the all-time high of $584.73. That level now represents the final major resistance before the stock enters uncharted territory.

Shorting a stock near record highs while momentum remains strong is particularly risky. The base case therefore remains a break above $584.73 followed by a move toward the psychological $600 mark.

A drop and sustained move below $562 would invalidate the setup. In that case, the risk of a deeper correction toward support near $527 would increase sharply.

New highs now depend on broader market support

AMD’s technical momentum remains strong, but the next leg higher will increasingly depend on broader appetite for technology stocks. The 10-year Treasury yield has moved back toward 5%, while markets remain sensitive to geopolitical developments and abrupt sector rotations.

A breakout to a fresh all-time high would therefore be an important signal, but a sustained move toward $600 would ideally need strong buying interest during the regular session as well. For now, AMD remains one of the strongest names in the semiconductor sector’s latest recovery.
