Amazon price target rises as Wolfe Research backs AI-driven growth
Amazon's AI drives optimism

Amazon is drawing fresh Wall Street support as the company expands its artificial intelligence offerings and demand for generative AI continues to build. Wolfe Research now sees further upside for the stock, arguing that cloud and retail initiatives can help sustain revenue growth and cushion pressure in other parts of the business.

Highlights

  • Amazon's price target was raised to $320 from $315 by Wolfe Research, reflecting nearly 26% upside based on Tuesday's closing price.
  • Wolfe forecasts Amazon Bedrock's margins will exceed 50% in 2027 as elevated demand for AI services bolsters profit contribution from AWS.
  • Strong generative AI demand, retail efficiency improvements, and eCommerce share gains are expected to offset operational headwinds, supporting Amazon's growth outlook.

AI services and cloud demand support bullish view

As reported by CNBC, citing Wolfe Research, the firm kept its outperform rating on Amazon and lifted its price target to $320 from $315, implying nearly 26% upside from Tuesday's closing price.

Analyst Shweta Khajuria says Amazon remains well positioned as a hyperscaler, with Bedrock seen as a key driver even if the market shifts toward open-weight models. She writes that the company is investing from a position of strength as demand stays elevated for AI-related services.

Amazon Bedrock, part of Amazon Web Services, lets developers build generative AI applications. Wolfe estimates Bedrock margins will top 50% in 2027, strengthening the case that AI services can become a meaningful profit contributor.

Broader business lines add to growth case

Wolfe also says strong generative AI demand is likely to offset headwinds across several other Amazon operations, helping support the stock alongside gains in core businesses.

The firm points to investment in retail supply chain management to ease margin pressure from high inventory, continued eCommerce share gains driven by faster delivery speeds, and a greater sales mix toward everyday essentials. Additional growth catalysts include Prime Video, Grocery, Kuiper, Alexa+, and Amazon Logistics.

Wolfe's stance broadly matches wider Wall Street sentiment. LSEG data shows 62 of 66 analysts rate Amazon a buy or strong buy, while four recommend holding the stock; shares are up almost 20% over the past six months.
