Record revenue growth as AI demand and hyperscaler wins accelerate

Cisco reported its fifth consecutive earnings beat for fiscal Q4 2026, driven by a 17.6% year-over-year increase in revenue and strong AI infrastructure orders totaling approximately $4 billion. The company projects AI infrastructure revenue to reach about $7.5 billion by fiscal 2027 and has recently secured three new hyperscaler design wins. Cisco also announced a quarterly dividend of $0.42 per share payable on October 21, 2026, with an ex-dividend date of October 2.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes Cisco’s string of earnings beats but questions whether momentum can be sustained. He observes that the technical picture is mixed with Cisco trading below the 50-day moving average and momentum indicators still in sell territory. While AI orders and solid fundamentals have sparked buying interest, market positioning looks overbought and volatility persists. Kharitonov warns that lingering skepticism from indicators like MACD and RSI should not be ignored. "Despite headline gains, Cisco faces tough resistance and any slip below $111.62 could trigger a deeper retracement," he says.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, sees Cisco’s accelerating AI infrastructure revenue as a powerful driver for further growth. He highlights management’s confident forecasts and new hyperscaler wins, which reinforce the company’s leadership in next-generation technology. The bullish structure remains intact with Cisco outperforming its longer-term averages. Karapetjanc believes robust demand and clear management communication set the stage for additional upside. "With strong AI tailwinds and expanding institutional adoption, I expect Cisco to target new highs if resistance at $112.11 is breached," he states.
Parshwa Turakhiya, analyst, points out that short-term momentum in Cisco is neutral, with both bulls and bears jostling for control. He notes that sentiment is cautiously positive after another earnings surprise, but technicals call for patience as the price remains range-bound. Turakhiya sees immediate trading setups around the key $112.11 resistance and $111.62 support levels. "If volume surges and price breaks $112.11, quick scalps toward $113.35 could play out — otherwise, wait for clearer sentiment shifts," he advises.

Mixed momentum persists as short-term strength tests resistance

Cisco is trading above its 20-day and 200-day moving averages ($108.6 and $97.55), but just below the 50-day moving average ($112.11). This setup signals short-term strength and a long-term bullish trend, though the medium-term picture points to consolidation. Immediate resistance is at $112.11 and support is near $111.62, with the Ichimoku Kijun line offering underlying support at $108.73. Despite persistent buying strength seen in session tone and intraday highs, momentum indicators are mixed: the MACD and ADX remain in sell territory, while the RSI sits just below 50, hinting at mild downside bias. Bull/Bear Power is overbought at 0.94, the Stochastic RSI is neutral at 71.62, and both the CCI and Awesome Oscillator show neutral signals. Intraday volatility measures 1.66%.

Earlier, analysts noted that Cisco was constrained by technical resistance and mixed momentum signals, with downside risk dominating the near-term outlook. The current breakout above key moving averages and a shift in probability towards an upward move suggest active traders should watch the $112.11 resistance for a potential bullish extension in the coming sessions.
