Intel stock forecast: Can $115 support trigger rebound toward $127?
Intel keeps $127 in play if support holds

Intel is back under pressure after failing to hold above $117.50 support. This time, the foundry business has added another layer of risk, giving the market fresh reason to reassess expectations.

The stock price of Intel dropped after Elon Musk announced negotiations between Tesla and TSMC about participating in the production of Terafab, a large semiconductor project in Texas where Intel was the only manufacturing partner that was known publicly. However, the negotiations between Tesla and TSMC are still at the beginning stages.

Increased competition in the client space is further increasing the pressure on the company. As per Susquehanna, Intel's market share within the laptop category has gone down by 3.9 percentage points to 68.1%, with AMD increasing its market share to 29.3%.

The $115 level remains critical for Intel’s rebound

In the previous analysis, we highlighted $117.50 as the key level that needed to hold for the rebound scenario to remain valid. Intel stock failed that test and moved back below the level.

The key support area now is the unfilled September 21 gap between $115 and $111.50. Buyers need to stop the decline within this zone.

If $115 holds, the base-case scenario for the rest of the trading week remains a recovery towards the important resistance area near $127.

If sellers manage to break through the $115–111.50 zone and establish a sustained move below it, the technical picture would deteriorate materially. In that case, support near $106.50 would become the next downside target.

That makes $115 the main filter for the current setup: holding the level keeps the path towards $127 open, while losing the entire gap zone would create room for a deeper correction.

October 22 puts overnight risk back in focus

The next major source of volatility for Intel is its quarterly earnings report, expected on October 22. As that date approaches, the market is likely to become increasingly sensitive to any fresh signals around Foundry, margins and CPU demand.

Short-term traders still have some room to carry overnight positions, but the closer earnings get, the greater the risk of sharp gaps between sessions. By the final week before the report, position sizing and overnight exposure may matter more than the direction of the trade itself.
