Google releases Gemini 4 Argon to developers and businesses worldwide
Gemini 4 Argon launches

After months of delays and leadership changes at DeepMind, Google is rolling out its flagship AI model Gemini 4 Argon to developers and business customers worldwide. The launch is part of Alphabet's effort to strengthen its position against OpenAI and Anthropic in enterprise and developer AI tools.

Highlights

  • Google launched Gemini 4 Argon for developers and businesses globally at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with prices doubling after November 30.
  • Early adopters such as Deloitte, LexisNexis, Ambience Healthcare, and Isomorphic Labs are piloting Argon, and Google will offer a guardrail-free version to vetted cybersecurity partners via the expanded Fairwind Program.
  • Google reports Argon use increases agentic code submissions by over 35% and reduces code rollbacks by nearly a third in Antigravity, with 10,000 scientists receiving six months free of the platform’s highest tier.

Launch terms and product access

As reported by Reuters, Google says Gemini 4 Argon is designed for complex, multi-step work across coding, finance, law, cybersecurity and science.

Launch pricing starts at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with those rates set to double after November 30.

Argon is available to paying customers through Google's AI application-building tools. Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can also use it through the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, while the Antigravity coding tool is limited to Ultra subscribers.

Google says teams using Argon in Antigravity increase agentic code submissions by more than 35% and reduce code rollbacks by nearly a third.

Enterprise rollout and competitive pressure

Early customers testing the model include Deloitte, LexisNexis, Ambience Healthcare and Isomorphic Labs. Google also says it will expand its Fairwind Program to hundreds of additional partners, giving vetted cybersecurity defenders a version of Argon without its cyber guardrails.

In September, the company says it was providing the model to select cybersecurity partners. Separately, Google will offer 10,000 scientists six months of free access to Antigravity's highest usage tier.

The release follows a difficult period in Google's AI operations. The company said in September that it no longer planned to release Gemini 3.5 Pro, which CEO Sundar Pichai had originally said would arrive in June, and it later reshaped DeepMind after co-founder and CEO Demis Hassabis stepped aside and several Gemini leaders left the company.

SpaceX Super Intelligence’s X Subscription bundled X Premium, Grok, and Cursor into a single multi-tier plan, ranging from a free option to a $200-per-month Ultra tier with higher usage caps and broader AI features. Our earlier article noted that the package is aimed at boosting subscriber growth by making it easier for users to pay for integrated chat, agentic AI, and coding tools under one subscription.
