AMD stock eyes $528 as earnings risk raises volatility
AMD is trying to recover after the latest semiconductor sell-off, but tomorrow’s earnings could quickly reshape the setup. The next test is whether buyers can push the stock toward $528 before post-earnings volatility takes over.
AMD will report quarterly results after the U.S. market closes on Tuesday, November 3, according to the company’s official calendar. Investors will focus on Data Center performance, demand for AI accelerators and management’s outlook. In its previous report, AMD guided for third-quarter revenue of about $13 billion and an adjusted gross margin of roughly 56%.
Caution has increased since the October 30 technology sell-off, which followed weak outlooks from Intel and Amazon. AMD’s results could produce a wide overnight price gap into November 4, making positions held through the report particularly risky for short-term traders.

Recovery toward $528 becomes the main scenario
The scenario outlined previously played out in full, with AMD reaching the $500 target and testing support near $493.
The stock then bounced from that area, climbing above $513 in premarket trading on November 2. A continued recovery toward resistance at $528 remains the main scenario for today.
If AMD breaks above $528 and holds, the rebound could extend toward $540.
A sustained move below $500 would invalidate this setup. In that case, the stock could retest $493 before moving toward the next support at $479.
Strong AI expectations leave little room for disappointment
The upcoming report will test whether AMD can justify the high expectations surrounding its AI business. After the recent sell-off, investors will be looking beyond the headline numbers to accelerator shipments, server growth and the outlook for profitability.
Even an earnings beat may not be enough to lift the stock if management takes a cautious view of the coming quarters. With expectations still high, guidance could matter just as much as the reported results.
