Earnings, revenue, and AUM climb as fundraising and initiatives accelerate

TPG Inc. reported robust third-quarter 2026 results, posting GAAP net income of $100 million and after-tax distributable earnings of $265 million, or $0.65 per Class A share, exceeding analysts’ profit estimates. Quarterly revenue reached $637.7 million, up 17.5% year over year, with fee-earning revenue rising 43% and assets under management surpassing $346 billion. The company declared a $0.55 quarterly dividend, marking five consecutive years of dividend increases and highlighted continued growth in fundraising, fee-related earnings, risk management, and new initiatives following its Angelo Gordon acquisition.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees TPG's recent surge as technically driven yet fragile. Although results beat expectations, he notes that multiple indicators show overbought conditions and conflicting momentum signals. He points out that upside may be limited, especially given a neutral ADX and MACD with the Stochastic RSI in strong sell. Kharitonov also highlights that while dividend growth may encourage buyers, any failure at $48.13 could invite sharp downside. "Despite bullish headlines, I am wary of follow-through and see heightened risk if near-term support gives way."
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, views TPG's strong quarter as confirmation of robust fundamental trends. He emphasizes the impressive 17.5% revenue growth and five consecutive years of dividend increases. In his view, the bullish structure remains intact, driven by rising assets and successful integration of Angelo Gordon. Karapetjanc believes investor sentiment remains constructive in light of these results. "Further growth is likely, and I see multiple setups for continued positive momentum in the coming sessions."
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, cautions that TPG’s upbeat earnings may not guarantee sustained performance. He views recent gains as potentially overstretched, given aggressive intraday volatility and overbought signals. Dele notes macro risks and investor complacency could trigger downside if momentum wanes. "I would remain defensive at these levels — the risk-reward is unappealing until the current froth subsides."

Bullish price action persists amid mixed momentum indicators

TPG is trading above its 20-day ($44.59), 50-day ($47), and 200-day ($45.67) moving averages, indicating ongoing bullish momentum across short-, medium-, and long-term trends. The prevailing alignment is supported by a bullish MA-50 vs MA-200 and Ichimoku Kijun support at $44.69, with price action currently bracketed by near-term levels at $49.49 (ceiling) and $48.13 (floor). Momentum indicators present conflicting signals. The MACD and Average Directional Index (ADX) are both neutral, suggesting the strength of the trend is inconclusive. Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 55.67 with a Buy forecast, but the Stochastic RSI is at 79.76 and signals Strong Sell, while the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) of 167.32 and Bull/Bear Power (BBP) of 2.67 both point to overbought conditions and buyer dominance intraday. The Awesome Oscillator remains neutral. TPG gained $1.93 or 4.12% today after opening with an upside gap of approximately $0.49 (1.05%), currently mid-range for the session with intraday volatility amplitude at 4.85%. The tone is bullish with the stock holding gains and trading steadily after the gap up.

Previously it was reported that TPG faced sustained technical weakness and elevated downside risk amid persistent selling pressure. The current shift to bullish momentum and improved financial performance signals a reversal in trend, making the $49.49 resistance level a key area to monitor for confirmation of continued upside.
