Interactive Brokers review: New TWS update allows fractional last size for U.S. stocks
Interactive Brokers has introduced a new feature in its TWS (Trader Workstation) platform with the release of build 10.44 (beta).

According to FNG, this update now allows users to view fractional last sizes for U.S. stocks and warrants, offering traders more precise information regarding stock transactions.
How the new feature works
The fractional last size feature enables traders to see smaller units of stock and warrant transactions, providing a more granular view of market activity. To activate this feature, users must navigate to the Global Configuration section in the platform, scroll down to the Display Settings, and enable the Last Size Extra Decimal option. Traders can then specify the number of decimals they want to display for stock last sizes.
Once the settings are adjusted and saved, fractional last sizes will be visible in the Watchlist and Portfolio panels. If traders have configured a Size Divisor under the Advanced settings, the fractional last size feature will be activated automatically when opening Presets.
Enhancing trading precision
This update is designed to enhance trading precision, particularly for traders focused on fine-tuning their execution strategies and for those who engage in trading US stocks and warrants in high volumes. Fractional last sizes allow traders to make better-informed decisions by offering more detailed data on the exact quantities being traded.
The ability to configure the display settings ensures that traders can customize their TWS interface according to their preferences, contributing to a smoother, more efficient trading experience.
